Archery 1/3 oz. Gold Coin

Powered by Zoomify

The archery design derives from the Dunhuang mural of "Prince's Arrow Shooting" found in Cave No. 290 in the Dunhuang Grottoes in northwest China's Gansu Province. The mural was crafted during the Northern Zhou period, about 1,500 years ago. The mural reflects the grand view of the aristocratic lifestyle of the time. Figures in the mural, glamorously dressed, display a concentrated spirit and athletic movements.
